About

This blog tells about the everyday life, travels,  and experiences, going on in China, (and Asia, other places, too) of Tom Millay and Barbara Moskol, two Americans (“Maineiacs”) traveling around this side of the world. They are living and working in Suzhou, China.  Suzhou is a city of over 6 million people that is about 60 miles inland from Shanghai.

We have been here for over two years and find life in China fascinating.  It is an exciting time to be here, as everything is happening at a pace that is like no where else in the world!  Our time here comes to an end in late June of 2012, so we are trying to travel and see as much as possible!

    • Shanghai continues to pulse at a beat like no other city in the world…we went to the Expo and on both occasions there were 400,000 to 600,000 people on each day!

  2. Thanks Tom for sharing this. Log. I’m envious as we never had a chance to visit Borneo. From either country. Great photos too. Love the orangang.

  3. Hey there! I don’t know if this reaches you… but I wanted to ask you for your permission to use one of your pictures in a piece of artwork? I’m not making money from it, and I would be glad if you would allow me to use it! Thanks!
